More than 120 members of the public are GMPA volunteers.
GMPA's volunteers provide advice and help monitor police processes such as custody.
GMPA's volunteer scheme is made up of Independent Advisory Groups, Appropriate Adults and Independent Custody Visiting.
GMPA consults with local communities to find out what they want from local police.
A youth event is held every year by GMPA to enable young people to have their say on policing.
