Acting Vice Chair Appointed (July 29)
GMPA Independent Member Christine McGawley, who is a magistrate and lives in Bolton, was voted as acting vice chair of the Authority at the most recent meeting on July 29. Mrs McGawley is conducting vice chair duties in the absence of Mrs Gloria Oates.
Police Authority Committee Restructure Approved (July 29)
GMPA Members approved a new committee restructure at a full meeting of the Police Authority on July 29, 2010. GMPA staff members are now developing the finer detail of the new model which will be presented to the next full meeting of the Authority in September.
