Standing orders and financial regulations

GMPA's standing orders, financial regulations, and scheme of delegation are part of GMPA's good governance arrangements. They make sure that GMPA governs itself properly and carries out its statutory responsibilities as laid out by the law.

These documents are reviewed each year and updated when needed at the GMPA's annual general meeting. They've undergone a plain English review, and each now displays the plain English crystal mark.

In the interests of openness, transparency, and good governance, these documents tell you how GMPA operates. For example, how we appoint our chairman and Greater Manchester Police's chief constable, how we carry out our meetings and decide who does what, how we buy goods and services, and how we manage our finances.
